Operational excellence
Built in real commerce

Producing Commerce · Commerce as a Service · Commerce Technology
ROWI develops technical non-food products and steers the international value chain — from market analysis and product development through sourcing and quality assurance to logistics and after-sales-service.
The offer

Complexity, made manageable

Our customers get a complete international sourcing solution — without maintaining their own structures in global procurement markets.

International product and supply chains need more than procurement. They need market understanding, technical competence, clear processes and reliable execution. ROWI combines these disciplines in one integrated model for European retail.

Product Innovation
We combine market and trend research with technical development and translate potential into products that sell.
Process Excellence
We steer partners, quality, deadlines, data and goods flows along one continuous international process chain.
Reliable Delivery
We carry responsibility through to delivery and beyond — quality, compliance and after-sales included.
End to end

From product idea to market

Eight steps, one responsibility. ROWI does not sell a stage of the chain — it steers the whole chain and stays accountable for the result.

  1. 01
    Market & trend research
Demand markets, online retail, store checks, procurement markets and technical developments.
  2. 02
    Product idea & specification
Market potential and customer requirements become concrete concepts and technical specifications.
  3. 03
    Product development
Material, technology, design and application decisions through to production readiness.
  4. 04
    Global Sourcing
Selection, qualification and steering of international production partners in Asia and Europe.
  5. 05
    Quality, testing & certification
Production monitoring with accredited institutes against technical, regulatory and quality requirements.
  6. 06
    Production control
Capacity, deadline and process monitoring along each confirmed customer order.
  7. 07
    Logistics & supply chain
International transport, consolidation and delivery into European distribution centres.
  8. 08

Quality & compliance

Quality is not a final check

It is part of every process step.

Production runs through three defined inspection gates. All of them are carried out by accredited test institutes, so every inspection report comes from a neutral body — never from us and never from the producer.

ISIR
Initial sample inspection
Before series release, the product is tested against the statutory standards that apply to it — plus legal conformity, safety and performance.
DUPRO
During-production inspection
Once 30% of the order is produced, it is inspected on site at the production facility. In parallel, samples go to Germany for additional safety and performance checks.
PSI
Pre-shipment inspection
Before shipment, completeness of the consignment is verified — so there is no open quantity risk at the point of loading.
CLS
Container loading supervision
During loading, container condition, quantities, packaging and load securing are checked and documented directly at the point of stuffing.

We listen to both ends of the chain

ROWI reads both sides of the market — and combining the two is what turns a trend into a specification early enough to matter.

Demand side
What the market is about to want
  • Relevant online shops and digital retail channels
  • Trend research across social media, trend books, data and retail
  • Early recognition of demand trends
Procurement side
What is about to become possible
  • Early input on technical innovations from producers
  • Insight into further international demand markets
  • Access to new components and materials
Both signals feed product development. Not a report that nobody reads.
International model

Market proximity in Europe. Production proximity in Asia.

Two locations, one operating structure. Short paths, clear ownership, and someone on the ground on both ends of the chain — which is why specification questions get answered in hours instead of weeks.

ROWI Germany GmbH
Product, customer and project responsibility. Specification, quality governance, supply chain steering and the Europe-wide after-sales organisation.
Hong Kong
ROWI Hong Kong Limited
Proximity to Asian procurement and production markets. Supplier qualification, production steering and on-site presence where the goods are actually made.
Working with ROWI
ROWI does not take over its customers' entrepreneurial responsibility — forecasts and inventory strategy stay with you. ROWI takes over the operational execution and optimization of the defined processes.
Competence over industry

Capabilities, not categories

ROWI positions itself through capabilities, not product categories. New ventures bring market and product competence — ROWI provides the operational excellence.

From producing commerce to commerce technology

Today, ROWI's business is almost entirely producing commerce.
It remains the foundation for the next steps.
Phase 01
Producing Commerce
Own product development, sourcing, production and marketing. ROWI builds experience, data, standards and best practices — the group's operational real-world lab.
Phase 02
Commerce as a Service
Standardizing proven processes and running them as operational services for other companies in the group — quality assurance, supply chain management and after-sales. Execution, not consulting.
Phase 03
Commerce Technology
Digitalizing standardized processes — software, AI applications, platforms and SaaS.
Producing commerce is not the opposite of this future — it is its foundation. Services and technology grow out of real operational experience, then get standardized, digitalized and scaled.
How it compounds

The innovation loop

01
Producing Commerce
Real products, real orders, real supply chains — the source of operational truth.
02
Operational experience
Every product category adds know-how, data and proven practices.
03
Standardization
Proven processes become documented, repeatable standards.
04
Commerce as a Service
Standards become operational services other companies in the group can buy instead of rebuild.
05
Digitalization
Standardized processes are digitalized and automated.
06
Commerce Technology
Software, AI applications and platforms scale the competence — and feed the loop again.
Development direction

Warehousing

We steer goods flows — and operate the warehouse behind them.
ROWI consolidates and delivers into its customers' distribution centres — and already operates its own warehouse for warehousing and fulfillment. That capacity is being expanded as part of the capability platform, wherever it demonstrably improves service, data and control. AI- and robotics-supported warehouse processes are the next expansion stage.
Next step

The ROWI Operating System

ROWI OS — the group-wide model for operational excellence, and the foundation for sales, recruiting, M&A integration and future technology products. What ROWI has learned in practice is captured in an operating model: the standards, roles, processes and systems behind supplier qualification, product development, quality management, compliance, production control, logistics and customer service.
For a company joining us, that is the practical difference. You keep your market, your products and your customers — and don't have to rebuild the operating structure behind them.
ESG

Environmental, Social and Governance

ROWI consistently aligns entrepreneurial action with sustainable growth, innovation, equal opportunity, health, resource efficiency and climate protection.
Our long-term commitment to corporate social responsibility goes beyond regulatory compliance and is integrated into every decision we make. We aim to create lasting impact by ensuring that environmental and social standards are actively upheld across our entire value chain. All production sites are ISO 14001 certified.
This commitment is reflected in our continuous effort to meet and exceed internationally recognised benchmarks.
